The End Part 2

I looked back to figure out when I started my WIP and it was on May 20, 2005!

Now granted, I finished this book once before- in the fall as a paranormal. But now it is truly finished, and almost exactly one year to the day that the very first idea for it came to me. It came to me while driving behind a car with the license plate: CCCCF8

or Seize Fate, for those who struggle with these things. Anyway, it all rolled out from there. It was a little different in its initial conception. Not a YA... but quickly found its legs.

Monday it will be heading back to my dream agency hopefull to stay!!!

The End

Yes! It is over. I am done done done. Stick a fork in her.

The last little scene is done. I do need to re-read the last half of the book to make sure I didn't do any of my crazy typo- typing. When you do track changes it can get a little hard to tell if everything is still formatted right and such... but it is done! And... I LOVE IT!!! I amaze myself. I mean one minute it is like- how can I possibly do this, and then something very tiny comes to me...

So that leaves the re-do on the synopsis. YUCK. I'm so bad at these things. I'm going to try to get away with just doing a really short one.

Anyway, this makes up for the pout I've had about not going to RT. Imagining all the fun and missing getting to catch up with some very very cool peeps I met last year.

This is the part of the blog where...

I tell you, I meant I'd be done with my revisions NEXT Monday. And this time I think I mean it. I figured out the romance element that I was missing... and figured out all the Dad stuff. So I just have to massage a couple of places during a read through and then do the final chapters- which are written, but I need to tie off some loose end stuff. It feels pretty complete now. No more dangling bits.

I'm so ready to move on to my next project, though!!! I'm so not used to dedicating myself to one focus like this. The house needs major cleaning. The horses need attention. I could use a pedicure. And I would love to just read someone else's writing.

Internalization- the nasty side of the biz

Say what you will, but I can sort of see how inadvertent internalization can be- for instance today I inadvertently internalized a Krispy Kreme donut. I couldn't help it, I am powerless to them. They don't even taste like donuts- they taste like heaven if heaven was made of sugar.

In revision news- I have thrown myself down a deadline. Monday. I want to be done with these revisions by Monday. Well, really I want them done now, but that is impossible. Monday is not.

So it is written, so it must be done.
